Canadian drivers are getting a lot of tickets in Milan, NY

Do you live in Ontario, Quebec, or anywhere else in Canada? It seems that Canadian drivers have been getting a lot of speeding tickets along the Taconic Parkway lately, and have to answer those charges in the Milan town court. It could just be a coincidence that many Canadian drivers have been uploading Milan speeding tickets for review lately, since state troopers are targeting behavior rather than place of origin, but maybe not. Many drivers are surprised to learn that the Taconic has a speed limit of 55 mph (88 km/h) for more of its length. That can be confusing, since most of the other major highways nearby are 65-mph interstates (or 104 km/h). It’s possible that converting from mph to kph in your head makes it that much easier to miss that speed-limit change.

Navigating New York town courts for Canadian drivers is a specialty at Selby Legal. If you have a Canadian license and have received a traffic ticket in upstate New York, just upload your traffic ticket and your ticket and you will be contacted by an attorney for a free consultation.
